This is a very special fleece from a Cormo/California Red crossbred sheep. Her well skirted fleece weighs 6 pounds. It has a staple of  4 – 5 inches. The tip end of the staple has about 2 inches of golden rose shade and the rest is a creamy oatmeal color. 

I have never seen this coloration on another sheep here on the farm.  The fleece is just like a very fine Cormo.  It is soft and crimpy.  I showed it to a fleece judge and he tested the staples for strength and any possible breaks. He said it was an excellent fleece.
